Brno - The Zet office building has reached its highest point, the first structure to be completed by workers in the Brno Zbrojovka area, where a new district is being created. At the top of the former tool shop at a height of 32 meters, workers have hoisted the traditional glajcha, a maypole decorated with ribbons. Representatives of the CPI Property Group today conducted journalists through the nearly completed building.
"Now the work will mainly move indoors; the Zet office will be fully completed by July this year, and we expect the first tenants to move in next June," said Ladislav Všetečka, the project manager of New Zbrojovka.
The completely reconstructed building of the former tool shop has nine floors and 12,000 square meters of office space. Directly in the building and its surroundings, 451 parking spaces will be created, and employees will have access to four terraces on the green roof. The building will also include a coworking center, cafes, and a fitness center.
In addition to the interiors, the developer is planning to enhance the nearby surroundings of the building, so people do not have to navigate through a construction site with piles of debris to get to the offices.
"By next year, we expect to build another entrance from Lazaretní Street, which has good connections to public transport and train service to the Židenice station. We will improve the roads and a park-like arrangement is planned around the building, along with some sort of forecourt with parking," Všetečka explained. These modifications will cost 40 million crowns.
The entire area of the former Zbrojovka spans 22 hectares, and its transformation into a new district with offices and housing is expected to take ten to 15 years. CPI Property Group has gradually presented architectural studies for all six parts of the entire area.
