Prostějov - The city council of Prostějov is preparing a comprehensive reconstruction of the swimming pool in the local area of Vrahovice for 90 million crowns (including VAT). The renovation of the swimming pool is expected to be completed next June and will be financed by the city, said Deputy Mayor Zdeněk Fišer (ČSSD) to reporters today.
The city council has already approved the tender for this public contract. "The subject of the contract includes construction work for the overall reconstruction of the swimming pool facilities. We also face the demolition of existing structures, including the pool," Fišer stated.
The project includes the construction of new buildings that will ensure the smooth operation of the swimming pool area. "Specifically, this refers to an entrance hall, changing rooms, a buffet, operational facilities, pool technology, the pool itself, and fencing. The area will be newly connected to utility network connections," Fišer noted, adding that the reconstruction of the parking lot is also planned.
When evaluating bids from construction companies, the city council will emphasize their economic advantages. "Another aspect that will be taken into account when selecting the construction contractor is the length of the warranty for the quality of the construction work," Fišer said.
The long-standing swimming pool in Vrahovice is in poor technical condition. The city recently took over the recreational facility from the Sokol Vrahovice Gymnastics Unit.
