Prague - Prague has decided to issue a public tender for the development of a project for the reconstruction of the burned wing of the Industrial Palace at the Exhibition Grounds in Prague 7. The tender will seek the author of the reconstruction project. For the preparation of the project documentation, Prague will pay a maximum of 39.16 million crowns, according to the assignment of the contract. ČTK learned this from material discussed by Prague councilors.
    "The project documentation includes a study, project documentation for building permits, and subsequently the execution project documentation," the assignment documentation states.
    The exact cost of preparing the documentation will only be clear after the results of the selection procedure. The maximum amount Prague wants to pay is just under 40 million crowns. The cost of the subsequent completion of the palace is not clear.
    The wing of the Industrial Palace burned down on the night of October 16, 2008. Prague received approximately 281 million crowns from the insurance company. The Industrial Palace dates back to 1891 and was built according to the design of architect Bedřich Munzberger.
