Brno – The residents of the Brno-Vinohrady district will receive new kindergartens in the coming years. The city council has included it in the binding plan. The kindergarten, which will accommodate up to 112 children, will be built on Šedova Street. It is estimated to cost around 80 million crowns, said Deputy Mayor Petr Hladík (KDU-ČSL) to ČTK.
A private construction of residential buildings is planned for the area, so it is necessary to expand the places where children will receive preschool education. Of the 80 million, part will be paid by the city and part will come from the investor's contribution to the construction. According to the councilors, the project should be completed in 2023, and the actual construction should be finished no later than two years later.
“It will be a maximum of a two-story building with a green roof. It will also include a kitchen with the necessary operational background and a Kiss and Ride parking area where parents can stop briefly, pick up their children, and leave,” Hladík stated. There will be 25 parking spaces available, including parking for disabled drivers. The kindergarten will also feature spacious gardens.
