Moravská Třebová has started the construction of a cultural and creative center in Boršov

Moravská Třebová - Moravská Třebová in the Svitavy region has begun construction of a cultural and creative center in the local part of Boršov, which will be created from the current cultural house. The city handed over the construction site to the company that won the competition; the center is expected to open in December next year. The cost has increased by nearly six million crowns compared to expectations, said Vice Mayor Václav Dokoupil (KDU-ČSL).

"Changes were made to the project documentation compared to the original assumptions. After evaluating the building, the procedure has changed, and we will be installing a completely new roof, including the trusses. Essentially, only the outer walls of the original building will remain; everything else will be new," stated Dokoupil.

The project builds on the long history of the cultural house. The future cultural and creative center will offer equipped spaces for the public, local associations, a library, organizations, and artists. A public space under the roof will provide various activities for the residents of Moravská Třebová. These will include musical, dance, and theatrical productions, workshops, educational programs, lectures and discussions, bazaars, courses, entertainment, celebrations of various kinds, festivals, and balls.

For the renovation of the town hall, a grant of 23.7 million crowns was obtained from the Ministry of Culture. Because of this, they must adhere to the schedule. The occupancy permit and grand opening will take place no later than December 2025.
