Moravská Třebová will begin the transformation of the dairy complex into a creative center this year

Moravská Třebová - The city of Moravská Třebová will this year begin the first phase of transforming the former dairy complex into a creative center. After demolishing the old buildings, a parking lot will be created there. The area will be opened to the public. This was stated by Deputy Mayor Václav Dokoupil (KDU-ČSL) to ČTK.

"This year we will finally physically break ground. In the middle of the year, we will start the first phase of outdoor modifications, where we will demolish part of the buildings and create a new parking lot," Dokoupil said.

By building new parking spaces, the city will make the area accessible to the public and connect it to the museum park. "In the spring, we will announce a tender, and we expect the construction works to start in June. The first phase will cost around 60 million crowns, of which 40 million crowns will be covered by the grant we have received," the deputy mayor said.

The city has owned the abandoned former Miltra dairy complex since 2020, having purchased it for 11 million crowns. In further phases, the city hall will reconstruct the former production hall and boiler room. A multipurpose hall with a capacity of 250 to 300 people will be created in the hall. The seating will be retractable. In addition, there will be a large foyer in the building.

The former boiler room is intended to become a cinema and dance hall. The study proposes to also provide spaces for the municipal library, which is currently located in the castle. There could also be a family center created there. The complex of the creative center will be named MIZA. "We expect the outdoor phase to be completed by mid-2026. And sometime in 2027, the realization of the cultural hall could begin," Dokoupil said.
