Moravská Třebová - Thanks to grants, Moravská Třebová will begin preparatory work on the MIZA cultural and creative center project. It will be created from the former Miltra dairy near the city center. First, it will be necessary to adjust the exterior of the area and make public spaces accessible, said Deputy Mayor Václav Dokoupil (KDU-ČSL).

"The first phase will start with a budget of around 60 million crowns. Buildings that will not be used will be demolished, a parking lot will be built, and the area will be adjusted to connect it with the museum park," Dokoupil stated. A 40-meter-high chimney will be built, which will serve as a water tower.

In the first phase, part of the former hall will be transformed into an urban garden, which will offer people a place to relax. Construction work is set to begin this summer and should be completed by mid-2026 at the latest.

The city has owned the abandoned former Miltra dairy site since 2020, having purchased it for 11 million crowns. In further phases, the municipal office will renovate the former production hall and boiler room. A multipurpose hall will be created in the hall, and the auditorium will be retractable. There will also be a large foyer in the building.

The future MIZA cultural center will consist of a space in the main production hall with a sawtooth roof. The study plans for the construction of a community hall with seating for 250 to 500 people, a cinema for 80 viewers, a new municipal community library, facilities for a museum storage, a bar, a café, and other spaces for social life. A family center could also be created, for example.
