This year's edition will focus on legal relations and contexts in the processes of planning and constructing cities and communities. IU 2016 aims to explore the theme of understanding law and the meaning and purpose of legal regulation of social relations concerning landscape, urbanism, and architecture. The complexity of social relations and the extent of their legal regulation generally reaches a degree that – in our opinion – makes law significantly unclear and incomprehensible not only for the average citizen but also for informed professionals. Under these circumstances, the application of law is exceptionally problematic.
