I am honored to have been invited by publisher Dagmar Vernerová to compile the Yearbook of Czech Architecture, which will be published in 2024. Therefore, I would like to request that you send your projects completed in the years 2022-2023.
This can include new construction, renovation, interior design, public space, park, urban planning, but also an artwork, an interesting detail, or a technical solution. The number of submissions from a single author or studio is not limited, but the final selection for the yearbook is limited to a maximum of 3 projects. The construction can be located both in our country and abroad, but inclusion in the yearbook is conditional on at least one of the authors being of Czech nationality.
Besides your projects, I would appreciate it if you could also point out the work of your colleagues.
I will personally visit the shortlisted projects from June to August of this year.
By May 15, 2023, please send me the following materials:
title and exact address of the project (if not available, please provide GPS coordinates) and the date of completion
name of the author(s), including contact information (current email and phone number)
short author text (max. 1800 characters including spaces)
4-5 photographs in preview resolution (if the project is still under construction, working photographs or visualizations are sufficient)
site plan and ground floor plan – all in schematic form, in jpg or pdf format
Please send the materials in a single folder labeled with the name of the studio/architect and in subfolders with the project name. In the subject line of the message, please indicate YEARBOOK 2024. Please send the files by email to rocenka@famarchitekti.cz. The file should be a maximum of 10 MB, and it does not need to be sent through a storage service. For now, everything should be in preview resolution only. The publisher will request the complete documentation for the projects selected for publication in September and October 2023.
