Mladá Boleslav - The project documentation for the indoor swimming pool in Mladá Boleslav will be prepared by the company Atelier 11 from Hradec Králové. The city councilors chose their offer of 2.2 million crowns as the most economically advantageous. This was stated today by Deputy Mayor Adolf Beznoska. "Their final bid price is 2.2 million crowns including VAT. The contractual agreement will include, for example, that from the signing of the contract, they will have forty weeks to process the documentation,” said the councilor. The exact date when the project documentation will be completed is not clear, as it is not possible to determine in advance how long it may take to develop the environmental impact study (EIA), Beznoska pointed out. The indoor swimming pool is to be built near the Štěpánka forest park, not far from Koliba, on an open space. According to the councilors, the construction will not require the felling of greenery. With a maximum capacity of 320 people, the pool will be intended for athletes as well as families with children. The pool will have six lanes, a grandstand, and a balcony for spectators, making it suitable for hosting swimming competitions. The complex will include a reception, shared changing rooms with changing boxes, sanitary facilities, and showers. The city council approved the public contract for its construction at the end of December last year. The pool is expected to open its doors in 2013.
