The documentary film "Bauhaus - Model and Myth" presents, based on archival material and interviews with former students of Bauhaus, the uniqueness of this "cradle" of artistic modernity and guides us through its history – from the revolutionary beginnings at the end of World War I to its dissolution and the emigration of teachers and students caused by the rise of National Socialism.

Architect and architecture theorist. After studying architecture at the Czech Technical University, he worked from 1973 to 1991 as the head of the architecture department at the National Technical Museum. From 1991 to 1997 and 2003 to 2006, he was Dean of the Faculty of Architecture at the Czech Technical University, and from 2006 to 2010, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture at the Brno University of Technology. Since 1994, he has been a member of the Academy der Künste in Berlin, and from 1997 to 2006, he was the vice-chairman of its architecture section. He is the author of numerous exhibitions and publications on modern architecture.
