Expansion of the museum in Poznań by Claudio Silvestrin

The Museum of Modern Art in the Polish city of Poznań will receive a new extension by Claudio Silvestrin. This London architect is also known in the Czech Republic for a successful renovation of a former boiler house in Karlín. The Poznań museum was founded in 1900 and expanded 76 years later. Silvestrin's extension, resembling an enlarged funnel for the hearing-impaired, is expected to be completed next year.
The extension will connect the galleries on the top floor directly with the entrance area of the museum. A café with a panoramic view of the city will also be located in the "hearing aid." Link>
