PRAGUE - Interested parties will once again be able to view construction projects that have been or will be realized in the center of the metropolis. This year's edition of the traditional exhibition Future and Present of Prague 1 will take place in a tent in the lower part of Wenceslas Square from November 3 to 10, as reported by the local council spokesperson Jan Šlajs.
Among the exhibited projects will be plans for the new Myšák Gallery building on Vodičkova Street, a multipurpose center Vitek on Na Florenci Street, and the Na Františku Hospital with reconstructed medical facilities. Visitors will also see a study of a monument to the victims of the resistance during the Second World War. The memorial by sculptor Vladimír Preclík and architect Ivan Ruller will be unveiled next year at Klárov.
The exhibition will also focus on modifications of public spaces. Their development over the past ten years will be presented on two dozen panels.
The exhibition will be accompanied by three evening discussions with representatives of the city council. Topics will include the care of buildings in the heritage reserve, modifications of public spaces, and constructions funded by the local council.
Traditionally, there will be a competition for children, who will this time paint their ideas on the theme of Living Nature in the center of Prague. Visitors to the exhibition will also test their knowledge of views from Prague's towers.
The exhibition generally attracts significant interest. Every year, several thousand people flock to the tent on Wenceslas Square.
