The prestigious international exhibition of modern wooden architecture Salon of Wooden Buildings 2019 is currently calling for architects to participate. By the deadline of October 8, 2018, architects from the Czech Republic and Slovakia can submit examples (4-5 photos + floor plans) of their interesting modern wooden buildings completed in the past year to salondrevostaveb@prodesi.cz. They can also obtain more information about the event at this address and by calling +420 732 705 574, which will be gladly provided by the coordinator of the Salon of Wooden Buildings, Klára Vlková.
The premiere of the exhibition Salon of Wooden Buildings 2019, which will take place from February 7 to 10, 2019, at the Wood Buildings 2019 fair at the Prague-Holešovice exhibition center, will be accompanied by an attractive professional supporting program consisting of lectures and presentations by Czech architects as well as international guests. Among the most anticipated guests is Austrian architect Oliver Sterl from the RLP (Rüdiger Lainer + Partner) Wien office, who will present one of the tallest wooden buildings of the present - the 24-story HoHo Wien building, which is expected to be completed later this year.
For the Salon of Wooden Buildings 2019 exhibition, which is already the 14th edition of the successful project aimed at promoting high-quality modern wooden architecture, the organizers will publish, as in previous years, the publication Yearbook of Wooden Buildings, which will be available for sale in December 2018. Architect Pavel Horák, director and founder of the Salon of Wooden Buildings and leader of the architectural-realization office Prodesi/Domesi, Prague/Bratislava: "I believe that both renowned wooden building architects and emerging younger creators will submit their projects for the new edition of the Salon. We want to present a wide spectrum of the most interesting modern wooden buildings that have emerged recently and excel in quality architecture to the public through the exhibition and the Yearbook of Wooden Buildings, and we thank everyone in advance who participates in the project."
After the Prague premiere, Salon of Wooden Buildings 2019 will head to Bratislava, where it will have its premiere for the Slovak professional and general public. Later in 2019, the Salon of Wooden Buildings 2019 will also visit other locations in the Czech Republic.
