For the tenth time, young talents from the world of architecture will have the opportunity to achieve a breakthrough success in their budding careers. The jubilee 10th edition of the Young Architect Award competition is starting. The exceptional nature of this annual event is further enhanced by the general partner with a unique challenge: the winner of the title will have the opportunity to design their own object for the municipality of Prachovice, which the company will realize.

This year's theme focuses on an architectural work that initiates social life and the development of the place. For architects, working on a building that impacts the development of social life and thus also the place is a significant challenge. The competition will thus show both professional and lay audiences how the youngest generation of Czech architects is addressing this task.
Representatives of the municipality of Prachovice also share the enthusiasm for this opportunity. Although this is the first collaboration within such a competition and essentially the first collaboration with a young architect at all, both the representatives of the municipality and its residents are looking forward to the later ceremonial unveiling of the furniture designed by the winner. “The municipality of Prachovice has historical ties to the local cement factory. Every event is always perceived very positively and received not only by the municipality's leadership but also by the citizens themselves. We view it very positively that the municipality was chosen, and I am already very curious to see which work will beautify our municipality,” added the mayor of the municipality, Bohuslava Čepová.

On the competition's website, it is possible to find recommended locations for processing from partner cities – Prague, Brno, Ostrava, and Liberec. Interested parties can submit their applications until June 29, 2018.
