Projektil architekti

In the invited architectural competition for a new bus terminal in Vodňany, the jury selected the proposal from the architectural studio Projektil as the best. It addressed the competition task, which required solutions for nine bus stands, facilities for passengers and drivers, as well as the modification of public spaces and communications around Zeyer’s Parks, most effectively. The architects proposed a relatively small and simple waiting area, which is complemented by a series of several roofs. Their geometries, together with newly planted trees, create the impression of a canopy that extends the adjacent park.
Deputy Mayor Tomáš Bednařík outlined the next steps after the council's approval of the proposal: "We would like to display all the competition entries and invite the winning team for a public presentation to the citizens of the city. Based on their comments and after signing the contract, it is possible to adjust the proposal and continue with the project for the building permit. The actual realization is expected to utilize subsidy programs."
Miroslav Vodák from the company CBArchitektura participated in organizing the competition, which helps public clients with the preparation of contracts and evaluation of proposals. He appreciates the city's approach, which decided to seek the highest quality proposal in competition with several renowned studios. The studio Projektil Architekti has a number of completed buildings that have received prestigious awards for architecture, such as the National Technical Library in Prague, the regional library in Hradec Králové, or the elementary school in Líbeznice.
