Ještěd f kleci is a competition held at the Faculty of Art and Architecture of the Technical University of Liberec, organized by its students. This year's edition is based on the effort to revive neglected places in the city of Liberec. Therefore, we are focusing our program on them. The 28th edition of the event will kick off in grand style on Monday, June 20, with a concert by the band Hello Marcel at the oldest cinema in Liberec, the art-deco cinema Varšava! On Tuesday, June 21, at the Fryč antiquarian and bookstore, we will be able to listen to a lecture on property transformations in Liberec in the 20th century, which will illuminate why Liberec looks the way it does now. We will spend Wednesday afternoon and evening making notebooks by hand, thematically, at Papírové náměstí in Liberec, in collaboration with the local business - Stereo cafe. On Thursday, we will screen an architectural artistic film and recharge our energy for Friday's announcement. On Friday, the work of the FUA students from the past semester will be evaluated by our jury this year. They include artist and performer Jiří Kovanda, urban planner Michal Kohout, landscape architect and urban planner Ida Chuchlíková, architect Petr Hájek, and three curators: Kristýna Hájková, Diana Kněžíková, and Alžběta Horáčková. The doors of the studio with the exhibited works will open to the public at 18:30. In addition to the displayed works, you can look forward to refreshments, a drinks stand, and a DJ. The climax of the evening and the entire Ještěd f Kleci will be the ceremonial announcement of the winners and nominees of Ještěd f Kleci #28, which will begin at 20:00. After the announcement, there will also be an afterparty, where the Prague performer Obi-wan smouker and other DJs will play for us at the Vokno pub. This time, the program does not end on Friday but continues until Saturday evening. From 11 AM to 7 PM, our studio with the students' semester works will be open to the public. During the day, there will also be a guided tour of the studio, led by brothers Jan and Petr Stolín.
