We would like to invite you to an online lecture by Robert Konieczny, which will take place on Wednesday, April 29, 2020, at 6:00 PM, where he will talk about his projects, plans, and the upcoming monograph dedicated to his architectural studio KWK Promes, which is expected to have a global distribution. We can also reveal that on the occasion of this lecture, Robert has prepared several stories "from shooting," which will be possible to hear only during this lecture.
Speaking in an accessible and understandable language about architecture is not a simple matter. However, Robert Konieczny, founder of the studio KWK Promes and a member of the French Academy of Architecture, undoubtedly possesses this skill, being one of the most frequently rewarded Polish architects. We can familiarize ourselves with his bold designs in the pages of the most prestigious architectural magazines and portals around the world. Currently, intensive work is underway on preparing a monograph about the KWK Promes studio under the guidance of Philip Jodidio, which will be published by Images Publishing, intended for a wide international readership. Robert Konieczny can talk about architecture and his work in a fascinating way, lightly and with a huge dose of humor. His lectures always attract crowds of listeners, not just those who are professionally engaged in designing. Today, as we are all involuntarily at home, we have a unique opportunity to listen to Robert Konieczny's online lecture. It will take place within the framework of the Interfaces initiative, which is a platform for interdisciplinary meetings aimed primarily at promoting Polish art, design, and architecture. Robert Konieczny will be speaking from the village of Brenna, directly from his Archy (which Wallpaper magazine called the most beautiful house in the world). In a conversation with us, Robert noted that he still needs to work on better internet connection :)
The lecture will take place on April 29, 2020 (Wednesday) at 6:00 PM. The meeting with him will be streamed via the YouTube platform. After the lecture, you will be able to ask him questions in the comments under the video.
The lecture is organized by the INTERFACES association, a group of architecture enthusiasts who organize local and online meetings focused on architecture. They are based in Gliwice, Poland, and have already succeeded in hosting meetings with many popular architects, designers, and artists, such as Robert Konieczny from KWK Promes, Oskar Grąbczewski from OVO Grąbczewscy, Robert Skitek, "musk kolektyw," and Bogusław Barnaś from BXBStudia. The lecture is part of the 12th edition of the international festival of architecture, design, and art ARCHIKULTURA 2020, and the Cabinet of Architecture is its co-organizer for the Czech Republic.
