The exhibition is part of broader celebrations marking the 40th anniversary of the restoration of the independent Faculty of Architecture at CTU in Prague, commemorated in a symbolic form through a selection of 40 buildings by the faculty's educators and alumni, each presented with a large-format photograph.
For this theme, we divided the gallery hall into three triangles. The largest of them, in the center of the space, opens from the entrance to the opposite wall, on which selected images of completed buildings are arranged on free-standing boards across five levels. These - mostly well-known works - are supplemented with period school projects (not only) by their authors, placed in the remaining side areas of the hall, which are symbolically separated from the central space by a passage wall made of textile strips printed with the names of all 4,389 alumni who have graduated from the faculty in the past 40 years.
In the antechamber, the exhibition is complemented by profiles of prominent figures from the school, moments from its life and the activities of the Student Association of Architecture, book publications authored by educators or alumni of the school, and further a projection of the documentary film by Hedvika Hlaváčková "Jednoduchej dům" about the new CTU building and its author Alena Šrámková, and the film by Jana Chytilová "Kritická židle: Rostislav Švácha".
