STX.THERM SANA is suitable insulation for problematic and uneven substrates. It does not create space for the formation of thermal bridges and condensation.

The certified anchoring system is also designed for the anchoring of unstable insulation, where there is a risk of collapse (without the need to dismantle the original insulation).
In repairs, renovations, and reconstructions of old buildings, historical structures, panel houses, etc., highly risky substrates can often appear. These constructions may exhibit numerous cracks, joints, or overall disintegration. The use of common types of mechanical anchoring in such unstable substrates is problematic.

However, higher demands for anchoring also appear when insulating new buildings, especially when it comes to anchoring insulation for low-energy houses (where it is necessary to anchor thick insulating materials) and sandwich constructions and panels.

The new certified STX.THERM ALFA system from STOMIX is based on a special injected anchoring system Spiral Anksys – this anchoring connects all loose parts in the application of the material into the anchoring point and simultaneously expands under pressure due to expansion into all free spaces, cavities, cracks, or porous structures of building materials. The applied expansion filling substance forms an expansion disc, which fills the space around the anchor. This leads to maximum anchoring efficiency even in substrates where common mechanical anchoring types may fail.

The STX.THERM SANA insulation system with the injected anchoring system can thus be used for all types of substrates, including lightweight porous substrates and brittle substrates containing cavities, such as hollow bricks, foam concrete, or Heraklit. The system can also be used on uneven substrates (with unevenness max. 20 mm / 1 m), for anchoring insulation for low-energy houses, as well as sandwich constructions and panels.

Anchoring of contact insulation systems and Spiral Anksys technology
Spiral Anksys is a progressive technology for anchoring insulating materials, developed as a self-supporting structural element replacing common mechanical anchors (metal or plastic) in insulation systems.
Detail of unstable insulation on an apartment building in Bratislava – this building underwent additional anchoring of the original insulation using the STX.THERM SANA system with simultaneous reinforcement of the original insulation (without the need to dismantle the original insulation).

By improving properties, a simple procedure has been achieved, in which the Spiral Anksys anchor is injected with the expansion filling material Spiral Anksys Foam. This procedure changes the approach to the anchoring point as such, all without the formation of thermal bridges or condensation zones.

The Spiral Anksys anchoring system is characterized by ease of application, efficiency, durability, and above all, high safety for all anchored types of insulation systems (regardless of the method of bonding the insulation).

STX.THERM SANA allows insulation even on problematic substrates
High efficiency of anchoring with Spiral Anksys technologies
eliminates risks associated with poor-quality substrates, with their low cohesion, and enables anchoring into various materials (hollow bricks, shell blocks, sandwich constructions, porous concrete, foam concrete, etc.).

Spiral Anksys technologies are certified according to valid European standards for use in contact types of insulation systems ETICS according to ETAG 004 and ETAG 014. The Spiral Anksys anchoring system replaces commonly used mechanical anchoring with plate dowels with plastic or metal pins.

TRAINING – GET A COMPETENCE CERTIFICATE
Participate in free competence training at the STOMIX Application and Training Center. Based on an agreement (and usually with a larger number of participants), the training can also be held outside the STOMIX headquarters.

For the design and planning of the STX.THERM SANA system, we issue a CERTIFICATE, which is awarded after successful completion of training in accordance with the Construction Technical Certificate STX.THERM SANA No. 003-001085, Binding instructions for the installation of STX.THERM SANA, Binding instructions for the design of STX.THERM SANA, and technological instructions for individual products, including the injected anchoring Spiral Anksys. The training also includes a practical part with specific demonstrations of the application and anchoring of this system.

The use of the Spiral Anksys anchoring technology and the installation of the STX.THERM SANA system should be carried out exclusively by persons who are properly trained and qualified to apply these systems.
Implementing companies must hold a LICENSE for performing the external contact insulation system STX.THERM SANA and the injected anchoring system Spiral Anksys.

SEMINARS AND PRESENTATIONS AT CONFERENCES

You can learn more about the STX.THERM SANA system at STOMIX presentations. This year, the STX.THERM SANA system will also be presented at two seminars by PSM (October 13 in Hradec Králové and November 27 in Ústí nad Labem) and at the Conference on the Regeneration of the Housing Stock in Hradec Králové (November 11-12). More detailed information on seminars and the Conference will be published in the news on the website www.stomix.cz before their occurrence.

STOMIX provides complete services:
  • we will train + issue the aforementioned Licenses or Certificates
  • we will ensure all necessary static calculations
  • we will perform at our own expense large-scale probes to verify the condition of the substrate, bonding, and anchoring of existing insulation
  • if necessary, we will provide free thermographic measurements of the condition of the building (only in winter) – we will process a graphic proposal for the color scheme of your house’s facade after insulation free of charge
  • we will lend installation elements for the re-anchoring of loosened insulation free of charge

Advantages and benefits of the STX.THERM SANA insulation system and the injected Spiral Anksys anchoring system
• remediation of unsatisfactory existing insulation
• doubling insulation
• without the need to dismantle the original system
• anchoring on problematic substrates
• anchoring independent of substrate cohesion.

Meets the requirements for the energy performance of buildings
Since January 1, 2013, Act No. 318/2012 Coll. has introduced the obligation of an energy performance certificate for buildings smaller than 1,000 m². This certificate indicates how energy-efficient a building is and how much energy you will need for annual heating. For most buildings insulated in the 90s, this means increasing the existing thickness of the insulator (at that time, insulation of 5–8 cm was common). From a temporal, ecological, and financial perspective, the STX.THERM SANA system is a unique solution.

Economic efficiency
In specific implementations of remediation or doubling existing insulation (without the need to dismantle the original insulation), we found that the savings achieved compared to the option of dismantling the system and applying new insulation are not negligible, even though the injected anchoring compared to standard mechanical anchoring is usually more expensive.

Ecological benefit
The use of the STX.THERM SANA system allows for a reduction in the ecological burden on our environment, either due to the savings in heating energy or the possibility of preserving and remediating existing unsatisfactory insulation (i.e., there is no need to dismantle old insulation and address the disposal of the resulting waste).

Safety and high lifespan of insulation

The injected anchoring system has 100% efficiency. The resistance to dynamic wind load is 3 times higher than required by Czech standards under the most unfavorable calculation conditions.

Anchoring facades with high loads
The system is certified for shear loads. One anchoring point can transfer a load of up to 50 kg.

Anchoring without the formation of thermal bridges

Comprehensive insulation of the anchoring point. Highly efficient connection without thermal losses or condensation. Tested according to European standards ETAG 014 (TR025).

Fast and easy application
No screwing or hammering. Recessed installation in one operation (no plugs). One type of anchor for all applications.

A system with European certification

The fact that it is a certified solution for remediation and additional insulation on the Czech market provides all designers and structural engineers with a unique guarantee of reliability of this solution. The results of this certification are also so definitive that they far exceed the requirements set by the construction standard.
