At the festive gala evening of Rigips company on March 16, 2006, at the Beseda House in Brno, the long-concealed winning projects of the international competition BPB Trophy 2006 were announced, as well as the competition "With Rigips Ceilings into the World 2006" under the auspices of the Union of Architects. The evening, full of surprises, original realizations, trophies, and interesting prizes, was hosted by Michaela Dolinová and Michal Jagelka. The evening's uniqueness was surely enhanced by the magic show of Pavel Kožíšek and Martina Poulíčková.

Rigips, s.r.o. is constantly striving to support and improve the craftsmanship and quality of work of installation companies in the field of dry interior construction systems, and for this reason, this year the fourth national round of the competition BPB Trophy was held.
BPB Trophy is an international competition held with a tradition of more than ten years for installation companies in the category "Dry Interior Construction Systems" and in the category "Innovative Solutions in Dry Interior Construction." In the national round, projects are awarded in subcategories such as Commercial Spaces, Office Spaces, Leisure Spaces, Interesting Arched Structures, Aesthetic Design, and Interestingly Designed Ceilings.
The goal is to recognize the artistry, skill, and quality of work of installation companies that utilize Rigips products and systems.
This year, 20 installation companies entered the BPB Trophy 2006 with 24 projects, using Rigips products and systems across a wide spectrum. The projects are very diverse – from new construction of a large sports and social center, through reconstructions and conversions of historical buildings, to modifications of the interior of one hall.

From the projects submitted to the Czech national round, an expert jury selects the winner who represents our republic in the international round. This year, the winning realizations of both categories will be presented in May at the World Forum in Madrid, Spain. The jury evaluates the realizations according to technical and aesthetic criteria. The originality of construction, the use of special techniques, the overall technical quality, and the aesthetic impression are mainly assessed. The size and volume of the realized work play no role in the evaluation.

Under the auspices of the Union of Architects, we also organize a competition for architects and designers called With Rigips Ceilings into the World.
This year, 13 interior solutions from various buildings were submitted for the competition, ranging from administrative and banking spaces to shopping centers and areas serving for relaxation or sports.
The goal is to highlight and reward the originality of use, technical performance, and design of structures that utilize acoustic and modular ceiling systems (Casoprano & Gyptone tile ceilings and large-format Gyptone & Rigiton boards).
For the expert jury's evaluation, the scope of the work is not a key criterion. It is more about the idea, wit, and use of Rigips ceiling systems in the service of interior architecture. The winners are awarded trips abroad.
