The appearance of the berker R.8 switches is based on the design of their older "siblings," the switches from the berker R.3 series. More precisely, it retains the same lines, only it drops lower… from a 7 mm base to a base of just 3 mm thickness. This makes the R.8 switches almost immerse themselves into the plaster. The shape of the R.8 switches bets – just like all series of Generation R – on the power of contrast. With its rebellious look – a rounded central part set in a square frame – the R.8 design perfectly communicates with its older siblings: switches from the berker R.1, R.3, and R.classic series.
