Blue acoustic systems Rigips with bronze and Rigiprofily with silver in the competition of the Czech Construction Academy

The blue acoustic systems from Rigips received the Bronze Award, and the new Rigiprofiles, stronger profiles for the installation of drywall structures, received the Silver Award in the Construction Product - Technology of the Year 2009 competition organized by the Czech Construction Academy.
The competition was held under the patronage of the Ministry for Local Development, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of the Environment, and the Ministry of Industry and Trade together with other co-organizers.

The mission of the competition is to enhance the technical and user quality of construction art through disseminating knowledge about the quality and the methods of utilizing excellent products and technologies, as well as promoting newly introduced innovations and inventions.

The blue acoustic drywall systems, which are a unique solution for reducing noise in interiors, received the Bronze Award from the Czech Construction Academy in the Construction Product - Technology of the Year 2009 competition.

The blue acoustic board from Rigips significantly reduces noise levels in system drywall constructions.

The blue acoustic board is a new drywall board whose properties help reduce harmful noise. Thanks to the unique blue color of the cardboard, the board is easily recognizable.

Already in its basic version, the board is supplied in a fire-resistant treatment, making it suitable for constructions requiring fire resistance.
The exclusive product from Rigips is used for the installation of interior and inter-apartment partitions, ceilings, and false walls in interiors. Acoustic drywall constructions with the blue acoustic board thus allow for improved acoustic comfort in all rooms, whether they are new or renovated buildings.

For the first time, a single-layer clad drywall partition is thus available on the market that meets stringent standard requirements for sound insulation inside an apartment.

The blue acoustic drywallboard is manufactured according to a special recipe. It has a suitably chosen core density, consisting of modified gypsum crystalline structure with specific damping properties. Thanks to its unique composition, the board achieves high acoustic qualities.

RigiProfiles, new and stronger profiles for the installation of drywall constructions, received the Silver Award from the Czech Construction Academy in the Construction Product - Technology of the Year 2009 competition.
The new profiles are the result of collaboration with Hadley, the holder of the world patent for sheet metal modification, which enables the new profiles to achieve far better properties affecting the final rigidity of the constructions.
The new RigiProfiles allow for walls that are up to 30% stronger.

RigiProfiles are made from galvanized steel sheet that has undergone a process called rigidization (stiffening). The effective thickness of the sheet increases during the rigidization process to the sum of the original thickness of the material and the depth of the created "dimples".
For example, if the thickness of the sheet before rigidization is 0.60 mm, then the effective thickness of the rigidized sheet is 1.20 mm.
Rigidized profiles for ceiling structures and false walls (RigiProfile UD, RigiProfile CD) are supplied to the Czech market as well as for wall constructions (RigiProfile UW, RigiProfile CW).

Practical advantages of RigiProfiles:

• higher strength of constructions when using RigiProfiles,
• greater stability of the structure before installing the cladding,
• RigiProfiles reduce the risk of cracks on the surface of the structures,
• no slipping and deflection of screws when attaching drywall panels to RigiProfiles,
• better screw grip in the profile,
• less workload for the installer when screwing panels to RigiProfiles,
• easy and precise cutting of RigiProfiles,
• thanks to the shaping of the RigiProfile, it is easy and precise to determine the center of the profile.
