International Competition for Architects NEW VISION OF THE LOFT

This year's edition titled NEW VISION OF THE LOFT has garnered great interest from architects around the world. Approximately 200 entries from various countries were sent to the headquarters of FAKRO. Projects were submitted not only by architects from European countries such as France, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, and the United Kingdom but also from Russia, China, the USA, Lebanon, Morocco, and Canada.

The submitted projects can be divided into several categories. There were typical industrial and urban visualization concepts, ready-for-implementation realistic designs, as well as artistic creations where dreams collided with the vision of an ideal attic. All works utilized FAKRO roof windows – FGH-V Galeria and windows from the proSky series. These products allow for perfect illumination of the room and can also be installed in innovative and what can be said are unfeasible projects.

First place and the grand prize (5000€) was won by Polish Krzysztof Stępień, 2nd place (3000€) Luis Amoro Fernandez and Miguel Orellana from Spain, 3rd place (2000€) Liliana Krzycka and Rafał Pieszko from Ireland.
We congratulate the winners and thank all participants for their involvement, as well as for showcasing a completely new, creative, and innovative vision of the loft.

FAKRO products have been sold in the Czech market for 16 years. The official business representation in the Czech Republic was established in April 2012. FAKRO CZECH s.r.o, based in Český Těšín, aims to bring itself even closer to its customers and increase the availability of FAKRO products in the Czech market.

From April 24 to 28, 2012, the international construction fair IBF 2012 took place, during which it is possible to enter exhibits into the competition for the Golden Medal. This year's 1st place in the Design category was awarded to the innovative balcony roof window FGH-V Galeria. This window also received significant public interest.
