FAKRO CZECH s.r.o.

Contemporary competitive battles take place in the field of technological advancement. Competition permeating global markets is motivating, encouraging constant quality improvement, and forcing the development of innovations. Success belongs to those who can embrace the future. In the field of roof windows, this has been the Polish company FAKRO for several years now. Several times a year, it introduces several innovative solutions concerning roof windows, thus mobilizing other manufacturers and forcing them to develop and raise product standards.
Breakthrough in Roof Window Design
A milestone in the development of roof window construction and a determinant of new trends in the industry has become the already years-produced FPP-V preSelect pivot-and-tilt window by FAKRO. The innovative system of fittings and hinges allows this window to separate the tilting function from the pivot function. This solution, which is, among other things, under patent protection, offers the possibility of opening in only one way while maintaining absolute stability in both functions. Additionally, the preSelect window can remain open in any position.
The absolute novelty in structural solutions used in the FPP-V preSelect pivot-and-tilt window has allowed FAKRO to outpace all industry competitors.

The Highest Single-Sash Roof Window in the World
A similar situation has occurred in the production of roof windows with large glazing areas. Three years ago, FAKRO prepared a series of high windows with widths that comfortably fit between standard rafter spacing. The use of an elevated pivot axis has allowed their heights to be increased to 180 or even 206 cm. The large glazing area allows for perfect daylighting of the rooms. The handle located at the bottom of the sash is easily accessible, and thanks to the elevated pivot axis, a tall person can comfortably reach the window. These exceptional roof windows, referred to as proSky, are the highest single-sash roof windows in the world.

A New Safety Standard
The manufacturer is also steering the trend of industry development in another area. FAKRO has equipped its roof windows not only with tempered glass but also with the topSafe reinforced construction system, which significantly increases the safety of window use. The system enhances the windows' resistance to burglary and protects them from opening in case of accidental stepping on the sash. FAKRO roof windows have at least Class III window safety, along with glazing (according to EN 13049). The company based in Nowy Sącz was the first to bring a full range of roof windows with this safety class to the market. The new roof window FTP-V P2 Secure significantly enhances security against theft. The window is equipped with the topSafe reinforcement system, elements protecting against the disassembly of safety glazing, and a handle with a lock that makes it difficult to open the window from the outside.

Maintenance-Free Ventilation
FAKRO, as the only company on the roof window market, has implemented a standard for the use of automatic ventilation flap V40P in wooden Profi windows. The automatic regulation of the ventilation channel's cross-section ensures the supply of an optimal amount of air into the room, maintains a desirable microclimate in the attic, and prevents heat loss, thereby contributing to energy savings.

The Warmest Roof Window in the World
In the case of FAKRO, the designation "the warmest" also relates to energy savings. A special category of roof windows offered for two years features the FTT U8 Thermo with enhanced thermal insulation parameters, intended for passive and low-energy buildings. This window utilizes an extended sash frame and energy-efficient, triple-chamber glazing. The installation of the window with a special sealing frame and additional thermal insulation has achieved the best coefficient in the world for the entire roof window at the level of Uw=0.58W/m2K. The window is also equipped with a set of XDK thermal insulation frames. The Thermo frames can also be used on other windows from the wide range of FAKRO roof windows.

Universal Installation
FAKRO has used a universal mounting system in its windows, unique in its kind. It allows for easy and quick installation of the window regardless of the roof construction or type of roofing material. This system allows the FAKRO roof window to be installed at three different depths in the roof construction (N, V, J), whether on battening or rafters. A deeper installation of the window (V, J) ensures better thermal insulation around it and greater aesthetics by adapting to the height of the roofing material. The mounting height N allows the window to be raised above the roofing level. This is especially important in areas with significant snowfall. To ensure the best thermal parameters, FAKRO offers EHN-AT Thermo sealing frames with additional thermal insulation.

Integrated Wireless Control System
FAKRO has also introduced a new wireless communication system for electrical devices Z-Wave, which integrates all automation (heating, lighting, alarms, roof window control, roller shutters, garage doors) into one system. As early as 2007, the company implemented a control panel in infrared systems, and two years later, it was also available in the Z-Wave system. In 2010, during the largest IT fair CeBIT in Hannover, it demonstrated the ability to control a roof window using a smartphone and the Internet.

Roof Window and Balcony
However, sloped roofs also allow for other interesting solutions. The significant producer of roof windows FAKRO introduces a special design of balcony type FGH-V P2 Galeria. In the large roof window, the upper and lower sashes open to create a spacious balcony. The upper sash opens upward while the lower tilts forward into a vertical position, allowing for free access to the balcony edge. Side protective railings are integrated into the lower part of the sash and extend during opening. Both sashes come standard with safety glazing P2 with internal laminated glass and external tempered with an easy-to-clean coating. The large size of the balcony window provides ample natural light in the room. The window made from pine wood is equipped with an automatic ventilation flap V40P.
From April 24 to 28, 2012, the international construction fair IBF 2012 took place, where FAKRO exhibited its products independently for the first time. Annually, exhibits can be entered for the Golden Medal competition as part of IBF. This year's 1st place in the Design category went to the innovative balcony roof window FGH-V Galeria. Besides recognition from experts, this window has sparked great public interest.

The World at Your Fingertips
Open the window and indulge in relaxation surrounded by nature. The new double-wing roof window Galeria creates a balcony in the attic upon opening, allowing you to feel the warm sunlight and the fresh air filling your attic, giving you additional space. The modern balcony window offers convenient operation and innovative solutions that change the present.

BALCONY WINDOW FGH-V Galeria
The side protective railing integrated into the lower sash completely hides in the window's construction, therefore it is not exposed to dirt. No railing elements are visible from the outside.

A NEW DIMENSION OF LIVING - CONTACT WITH THE ENVIRONMENT
Innovative, large roof window, where its opened sashes form a balcony. The upper sash opens by tilting upwards, and the lower sash tilts forward into a completely vertical position, thus creating unrestricted access to the balcony nook. Just a few steps take you "outside”, feeling the warm sunlight, fresh breeze, or enjoying an extraordinary view.

DURABILITY AND AESTHETICS
The upper sash smoothly tilts up to an angle of 45°. The side protective railing is integrated into the lower sash and extends during its opening.
When closing the lower sash, the balcony railing hides into the window and is not visible above the roofing level. It is concealed under the flashing, protecting it from dirt and weather effects. This solution does not disrupt the overall aesthetics of the roof.

SAFETY
Both sashes (upper and lower) are equipped with laminated safety glazing P2 (the inner glass is laminated, and the outer is tempered with an easy-to-clean surface).
The balcony window comes standard with a special reinforcement system for the window structure topSafe, which significantly increases its resistance to burglary.

USER COMFORT - THE HANDLE IS ALWAYS WITHIN REACH
Convenient operation of the window using the handle located at the bottom of the sash, which is always within reach.
The window has a multi-point locking system, without a traditional counterpart.

EASY CLEANING OF THE OUTER GLASS
Easy and safe cleaning of the outer window pane is enabled by a safety mechanism that locks the sash in a position rotated by approximately 160°.

AUTOMATIC VENTILATION FLAP
The Galeria balcony window is equipped with an automatic ventilation flap V40P, which ensures the supply of an optimal amount of air into the room and contributes to energy savings.

The International Construction Fair in Prague will take place this year from September 18 to 22.
The theme of this year's fair emerged from discussions at the conclusion of the agreement of the European Parliament and the Council on the energy efficiency of buildings, when the Directive on the energy efficiency of buildings was signed. The task of this directive is to reach a state where, by 2020, only buildings with energy needs approaching zero will be realized.
In addition to this current topic, the fair focuses on modern trends and situations. The 23rd edition of the FOR ARCH international construction fair offers a unique opportunity to see new products and discover the latest trends.
FAKRO will showcase, among other things, the super energy-efficient window FTT Thermo, the balcony window FGH-V Galeria, and the preSelect windows.
