Hansgrohe CS, s. r. o., a subsidiary of a leading German manufacturer of bathroom faucets and showers, is celebrating a quarter of a century in the Czech and Slovak markets this year
and can truly be satisfied with its results – its products are used by a wide range of customers not only in the construction sector. Thanks to high-quality products and services, the company has built a good reputation and a stable position in both markets over the years.

The history of the company dates back to May 1995, when the first Hansgrohe subsidiary in the former post-communist block was established in Svratka (Czech-Moravian Highlands). After three years of commercial activity, a promisingly growing network of business partners, and active participation in various exhibitions and fairs, there was a need to expand not only the training center but, above all, the storage capacity and streamline logistics. Since 1999, the company has been headquartered in Brno, and currently employs 19 people.

One of the top ten companies in the sanitary industry

Hansgrohe, which has been operating very successfully for 119 years and whose products are sold in more than 140 countries worldwide, can truly be satisfied. It boasts over 15,000 patents and designs and more than 600 awards from independent juries in international design competitions. The brand collaborates with world-renowned design stars such as Philippe Starck, Antonio Citterio, Patricia Urquiola, and many others.

In the prestigious ranking by the International Forum Design (iF) of the best companies in the world in design, Hansgrohe ranks in the TOP 10 among 4,215 participating companies (www.ifworlddesignguide.com). Can a better recommendation be offered to customers?

Much more important than the satisfaction of the achieved business results is the fact that architects and designers create top-quality bathrooms and kitchens with the products of this company, both in private interiors and in hotels, conference centers, and yachts. Moreover, the products of the Hansgrohe and AXOR brands (global trendsetters in exceptional avant-garde design objects for luxury bathrooms and kitchens) are also well-received by those who handle their installation and assembly, namely plumbers and technicians, whose continuous education the company carefully oversees. Training these professionals leads to the satisfaction of all parties involved, including end clients.

Quality materials and advanced technologies

For Hansgrohe, quality also means the highest standards in service, as clients' demands are taken into account from the very development stage. Customers can thus rely on stable and sustainable faucets, showers, and shower systems with a long lifespan. Hansgrohe places emphasis on selected materials, advanced technologies, and precise workmanship, as well as on ecology and quality. And also on the satisfaction of all the people who work with or use the products of this brand. The focus on their satisfaction is what distinguishes Hansgrohe from other manufacturers.

Innovative products

The brand, which today comprises 33 companies and 22 sales representations worldwide, is also behind many innovations that many may not even realize: for instance, it was Hansgrohe who introduced the shower rail (1953), which allows the hand shower to be secured at any height, as well as the world's first hand shower with an adjustable flow type (1968 Selecta) and the colorful Tribel shower (1974, Frog Design, H. Esslinger – later design for Apple). The Select technology (2014), which allows the flow of water in the kitchen or bathroom to be controlled with the press of a button, also represented a significant innovation.

In recent years, the company has transformed from a family-owned business into a globally represented corporation: Klaus Grohe, the youngest son of the founder, led the company for more than three decades until 2015. The main shareholders are the American corporation Masco Corporation and the Grohe family through Syngroh Verwaltungs- und Beteiligungs-GmbH. Since August 1, 2018, Hans Jürgen Kalmbach has been leading the company as chairman of the board.
