Technology RECKLI® Photo Engraving transfers any photograph onto a concrete facade by special texturing of the concrete surface. The system creates a smaller or larger surface structure based on the resolution, creating the impression of projecting a photograph onto the concrete facade. This is a computer-protected method of transferring images using special CNC milling instructions. First, the photograph is scanned and then converted into 256 shades of gray; the generated file is then transferred to an MDF board.

The milled model serves as a template for creating an elastic RECKLI® mold. The elasticity, quality, and reproducibility allow the entire technology of creating image-like concrete surfaces to be utilized aesthetically and economically. The relief surface of Photo Engraving creates a portrait of the template through the interplay of light and shadow. The size of the mold is limited by the maximum size of the available form and the maximum working area of the mill. However, to create the overall image, the individual parts of the model can be arranged next to each other.
