The beginning of spring brought Českomoravský cement, a.s., a significant success in the field of safety. The company can be proud to have received a significant mining award for safety in mining GOLDEN PERMON for the year 2011. This award has been granted since 2002, and Českomoravský cement can boast of this prize for the second time.
The Golden Permon is awarded to subjects under the supervision of the State Mining Authority of the Czech Republic as a recognition for achieving outstanding results in workplace safety. The company received the award in the category - open pit with more than 50 employees. The main evaluation criteria for this award were: the number of workplace accidents (including contractor organizations), the number of extraordinary events, the annual volume of extraction, and the annual reserve created for remediation and reclamation works, all for the years 2010 and 2011.
The Golden Permon award was ceremoniously presented on April 12, 2012, at the Mokrá cement plant personally by Ing. Ivo Pěgřímek, chairman of the Czech Mining Authority, to Ing. Jan Hrozek, chairman of the board of Českomoravský cement.
The Golden Permon is certainly another challenge for Českomoravský cement to maintain high work quality in the coming years, not only in the areas of workplace safety.
