Tokyo master of transparent architecture Sou Fujimoto blurs the boundaries between exterior and interior. Fujimoto gained worldwide recognition as a visionary standing between nature and architecture. At 41, he became the youngest creator of the Serpentine Gallery's summer pavilion in 2013. Visitors to London's Hyde Park then admired his steel-white lattice structure resembling a floating cloud.
This was followed by other extraordinary buildings such as the White Tree tower in Montpellier, France, resembling a pine tree, or a glass public restroom in a garden designated solely for women near Tokyo. His designs will also be seen in Budapest, for which he has designed the House of Music. In Prague, Fujimoto is currently participating in an architectural competition for a complex of buildings that will be built on the site of the former Telecom in Žižkov. Sou Fujimoto will come to the metropolis for the Architecture and Development Summit, organized by the Association for Architecture and Development, which supported the lecture at CAMP.
The event will be streamed on Facebook, and a recording will be published on YouTube. Registration on the GoOut network starts on March 4, 2019. Reservations end 5 minutes before the start of the event; thereafter, seats will be offered to visitors without tickets until the venue reaches capacity. Thank you for your understanding.
