Gallery VI PER invites you to the first lecture of the new cycle Meeting with Ordinariness.

Measuring, drawing, digitization, printing, redrawing, discussions, erasing, notes, reproductions, corrections, drawing, scanning, digitization, printing, erasing, and so on and so forth. Long lines are constantly shortened, adapting to the complex and ordinary reality of our profession.

Studio Schneider Türtscher, based in Zurich, was founded in 2013 by Claudio Schneider and Michaela Türtscher. The focus of the practice is the transformation of existing buildings, typically modest structures and situations that constitute everyday building culture. The practice aims to follow the changing present and develop ideas based on interaction with reality.

Claudio Schneider trained as a construction draftsman and then studied architecture at the University of Liechtenstein and ETH Zurich. In 2015, he joined Adam Caruso's studio at ETH Zurich as a research assistant, where he has been an associate assistant since 2018. Since 2022, he has been a member of the Federation of Swiss Architects (BSA).

Michaela Türtscher studied architecture at the University of Liechtenstein and ETH Zurich. In 2020, she obtained her doctorate with a dissertation on the post-war buildings of Fernand Pouillon in Algiers (LE TECHNICIEN PLASTICIEN. Fernand Pouillon. Bauen für Algiers 1953–1958) under the supervision of Laurent Stalder at ETH Zurich. From 2017 to 2018, she taught at the Technical University of Darmstadt, from 2021 to 2022 as an assistant to visiting professor Philipp Escher at USI in Mendrisio, and since 2023 as a lecturer at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) in Winterthur. Since 2022, she has been a member of the Federation of Swiss Architects (BSA).
