The project maps the architectural scenes of selected countries and has so far reflected the contemporary architectural scene of Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Austria, Slovenia, Germany, Norway, Hungary, and Poland. This year, as part of the lecture series, the contemporary Ukrainian architectural scene will be presented. The selection of speakers includes architects and curators representing all active creative generations and the most important trends in contemporary Ukrainian architecture. The presentations will include moderated discussions with the audience. The performances are recorded, archived, and accessible even after the event has concluded. As part of the project, a unique material is created that serves as a record of contemporary architectural discussions and simultaneously as a publicly available source of information. The format of Reflections on Architecture also includes a series of monographs capturing the lectures as well as critical reactions from the audience. Reflections on Architecture will take place in Room 117 of the Faculty of Architecture and Design in Bratislava, which is open to architects, students, and the general public interested in architecture. The cycle will be opened on September 25th with an introductory lecture by Henrieta Moravčíková and Cornelius van der Westhuizen. All lectures will be streamed and archived on the Facebook and YouTube channels of Reflections.
