Are you preparing a public space project in Bratislava?

Be part of the conference Public Spaces Bratislava 2015.

Public Spaces is an international conference on public spaces organized by the Faculty of Architecture, Institute of Urbanism and Spatial Planning with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic. The second edition of the conference will take place on December 1-2, 2015, at the Slovak National Gallery under the patronage of the President of the Slovak Republic, Andrej Kiska.

While the first edition of Public Spaces presented strategies, community projects, and initiatives, the current edition will focus on projects that are in the preparation phase. The theme is "Public Spaces in Progress." We would like to invite both professionals and the general public to inform us about interesting urban plans, development projects, and civic initiatives that involve the creation of new public spaces in Bratislava.

The goal is to get to know them better, understand them, and offer the authors feedback at a stage when the projects can still be influenced.

How to apply?
1. project annotation (max. 5 sentences)
2. google maps, localization with marking
3. parameters of the public space - area, scale, costs, size of the city it is located in, etc.
4. character of the place / brief annotation (before / after)
5. status - in progress (design, under construction, etc.)
6. graphic materials - sections, floor plans, visualizations, or video
7. project phase (AŠ, DUR, DSP, RP)

Projects can be submitted by architects, investors, civic initiatives, and representatives of local government.

We will inform about the results of the project selection on November 5, 2015
Send projects by October 31, 2015 to the email: info@publicspaces.sk
