The aim of this 1st international scientific conference is to highlight how changes in public spaces can be made: from generating visions to their implementation.
The conference will focus on current strategic tools for planning and creating public spaces such as placemaking, urban acupuncture, tactical urbanism, and participatory planning.
The mission of the first conference on public spaces in Bratislava is to concentrate current and future creators of the city, the professional and lay public, practicing architects, and urban planners to collaborate with world-renowned leaders in the creation of public spaces.
To create a broader professional working group that will lead an interdisciplinary dialogue among citizens, local government, architects, urban planners, landscape architects, economists, and other experts on public spaces with the aim of creating a strategic material for the public spaces of Bratislava.
