Another lecture held as part of the OFFCITY 2011 project will be in a summer spirit, outside the OFFCITY NE-ARCHITECTS cycle, featuring foreign guests - Romanian architects - (not only) about public space in Bucharest. In other words, back to architects! The architectural studioBASAR was founded in 2006 by Cristi Borcan and Alex Axint. They operate as a team SAR [Search And Rescue], which observes the life of the city, searches for its problems, and subsequently saves it through their interventions. The methods of these strategic interventions have gradually evolved into an action program addressing the dynamics of the modern city. All analyses and diagnoses are conducted directly in the city.
The goal is to show the public that seemingly trivial interventions on the border of improvisation and illegal activities are part of today's dynamic urban culture and can enrich the urban environment interestingly.
Projects by studiaBASAR vary from minor urban interventions to designs for residential or public buildings.

Organized by the non-profit organization Terra Madoda in cooperation with 4AM Forum for Architecture and Media (Brno) as part of the OFFCITY 2011 project. This project is realized with the support of the statutory city of Pardubice, the Czech Architecture Foundation, and the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.
