Lukáš Beran: The Architecture of the Machonin Couple

Unwanted Monuments / A lecture series about relatively recent architecture and artistic values that we are still overlooking. Buildings from before 1989 are often the subject of open hatred: we associate them with the morass and arrogance of normalization. However, not all architecture from that time deserves such harsh judgment. In this series, we want to focus on the buildings and authors whose work has unjustly suffered from the stigma of that era.
On Monday, February 6, 2012, at 6:00 PM in Judit's Hall, there will be a lecture by Mgr. Lukáš Beran The Architecture of the Machonins, which will offer insights into the work of the most prominent couple in Czech architecture of the second half of the 20th century.
