The vision for Copenhagen is to become the best place to live – a metropolis for people. One of the main architectural and urban strategies for the development of Copenhagen is livability. The official strategy for urban life in Copenhagen prioritizes living in the city over urban space and urban space over buildings. In the last ten years, there has been a strong emphasis in Copenhagen on developing urban life and the human dimension, which is crucial for the city's development and sustainability.

In her lecture, Tina Saaby will focus on citywide strategies and exemplary cases from Copenhagen. There will be a discussion on how the city facilitates the development process. Tina Saaby has been the city architect of Copenhagen since 2010. She inspires, supports, and advises politicians and urban administration. She co-creates architectural directives and visions associated with the document The City of Copenhagen’s Architectural Policy.

The lecture will be conducted in English. After the lecture, there will be a discussion held in cooperation with the Institute of Planning and Development of the City of Prague.
