DAAD IS AN ANNUAL FESTIVAL CELEBRATING ARCHITECTURE, DESIGN, AND ART, CREATIVE WEALTH, SOCIAL IMPACTS, AND THE POWER FOR CHANGE. THE AIM OF THE DAAD FESTIVAL IS TO CREATE A FORMAT FOR STRENGTHENING THE POSITIVE PERCEPTION OF ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN IN SLOVAKIA. THE FESTIVAL ADDRESSES KEY ISSUES FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN THROUGH PRESENTATIONS, LECTURES, EXHIBITIONS, SEMINARS, WORKSHOPS, AND DISCUSSIONS.
DAYS OF ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN is a festival founded by architects Táňa Kollárová and Štev Polakovič in 2010 in Bratislava. It is a unique event of its kind, mapping and presenting the best that is happening in this field on both the domestic and international scene. The festival takes place annually during the last week of May under the auspices of the Minister of Culture of the Slovak Republic, the Mayor of Bratislava, the Mayor of the Old Town, in close cooperation with VŠVU, FAD STU, SCD, SKA, and SAS.
