As part of the lecture series 'Architect in Practice' aimed at second-year MSP students, on Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at 5:00 PM, a lecture by Jan Mach, Jan Vondrák, and Lukáš Holub from the Liberec studio mjölk architekti will take place in room A211 at the Faculty of Architecture at the Brno University of Technology, Poříčí 5.
Jan Mach (*1981 Mělník), as a passionate traveler, has visited places including Alaska, Georgia, Armenia, India, Iran, and Kenya. During his studies, he began intensive collaboration with Prof. Martin Rajniš, under whom he graduated. After completing his studies at FUA TUL in 2008, he co-founded his own studio.
Jan Vondrák (*1981 Příbram) during his studies at TU Liberec worked at several Czech offices, served as an architect for Czech Television, and managed to visit the Hawaiian Islands, both the west and east coasts of the United States, and Alaska. After completing his studies at FUA TUL in 2008, he co-founded his own studio. Lukáš Holub (*1977 Humpolec) graduated from the Faculty of Art and Architecture at the Technical University of Liberec. After finishing his studies in 2008, he began working at the mjölk studio.
mjölk architekti (*2008 Liberec) was founded seven days after graduation from the Faculty of Art and Architecture in Liberec, under the Czech-Swedish dictionary of architectural studio Mjölk architekti. After a few years, what started as a crazy boyhood dream became a recognized architectural office. Our architecture is best characterized by Nordic conceptual simplicity, material truthfulness, and youthful playfulness. We collaborate not only with private investors but also with cities and municipalities. We are interested in what happens around us. We organize the film festival Kino Liberec and a series of running races called Divočina. We complement a wide portfolio of projects with teaching at the Faculty of Architecture in Liberec and participation in both Czech and international workshops and lectures. More information >
