The revitalization of Officine Reggiane, a former industrial area, will be discussed by architect Emilia Andrea Oliva, who completed the functional adaptation of the space for offices and laboratories for industrial experiments after winning a competition. Andrea Oliva graduated in architecture from the Polytechnic University of Milan in 1998. Since 2001, he has been involved in research activities and serves as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Architecture and Engineering at the University of Parma. In 2000, he founded Citta Architettura. The experimental dimension is accompanied by full expert competence, utilizing expert consulting (construction, facilities, communication, economics, landscape, artwork, lighting) capable of responding to complex programs. He has designed and implemented public buildings, residential, commercial, industrial, and hotel complexes, as well as public spaces, urban and landscape projects, city renovations, and historical architecture in the field; he has participated in numerous national and international competitions. The lecture will be held in English. The lecture series will take place every Wednesday in collaboration with TIC Brno and the Faculty of Architecture at VUT. Admission is free.
