In Klatovy, the construction of a hospital for 1.4 billion CZK begins today

Klatovy - Construction of a hospital worth 1.4 billion crowns will begin today in Klatovy. Most of the funding will be provided by the Plzeň Region, to which the hospital belongs. The regional government hopes to obtain nearly half a billion crowns from the European Union for equipment. The construction of the hospital monoblock is the largest investment project in the region's history.
The construction was already planned by the former regional leadership from the ODS and they saved over 800 million crowns for it. The current councilors from the ČSSD had the project modified and expanded according to the demands and suggestions of healthcare professionals. The hospital will have 241 beds, operating rooms, outpatient clinics, and other facilities. The construction is to be completed by the end of 2011 without limiting the operation of the existing hospital.
