In Brno, which has a population of 380,000, 50,200 m² of vacant office space was recorded by the end of the first half of 2018. This corresponds to an occupancy rate of 8.8 percent, representing an increase of 1.5 percentage points compared to the second half of 2017.
So far this year, two office buildings have been completed in Brno. Campus Science Park DE offers 13,300 m² of space, and Vlněna Office Park FG, which is about 1,000 m² smaller. "Currently, another 63,500 m² of office space is under construction across six projects. Of that, approximately 24,900 m² should be completed by the end of 2018," said Martina Pavlíková from the Regional Research Forum.
The highest achievable rent in Brno in the first half of 2018 rose to 14.5 euros (approximately 377 crowns) per square meter per month. The largest transaction in the first half of this year was the rental of space by Moravia IT in the Vlněna Office Park AB complex.
