Karlovy Vary - The reconstruction of engineering networks will begin at the end of August at the premises of the Karlovy Vary Regional Office. One of the reasons is the preparation for the planned construction of additional regional institutions, informed CTK by the spokesperson of the regional office Andrea Bocková today. The first to be built here should be the regional police headquarters. At the same time, the road leading to the emergency services building will be repaired. The networks will be laid under the roadway and from there extended to the plots where the construction of the regional police headquarters, district court, and other buildings is planned. "The reconstruction of the networks will cost approximately 33 million crowns. The increase in costs from the original 30 million is due to the need to remove the remnants of the former shelter from the premises," Bocková added. The construction of the new regional police headquarters is expected to start already in November. Currently, the project is undergoing an environmental impact assessment. In the first phase, an administrative building covering 1650 square meters, an energy center, and a container station will be created here. In the second phase, a gym and a roofed parking lot for special vehicles will follow. In connection with the planned reconstruction of the networks and road, the public transport bus stop will be relocated from the regional premises back to Závodní Street, where it was originally located.
