Prague - The Buildings of the Year 2013 are the Ostrava hall Gong, the Breda & Weinstein social and commercial center in Opava, the Proton Therapy Center in Prague, Lípa resort - Aparthotel Lípa in the Děčín region, and the Královopolské road tunnels in Brno. The results were announced by ABF - Foundation for the Development of Architecture and Construction, which organizes the competition. The jury, headed by architect Radomíra Sedláková, chose from 54 registered projects this year, two of which were foreign. 16 of them advanced to the finals of this year's 21st edition of the competition. This year's Personality of Construction was appointed advisor on construction management and construction Miroslav Hegenbart. Like in previous years, this year's edition was open to all objects without distinction of the type of construction or the amount of costs incurred for its acquisition. The condition for application to the competition was the completion and commissioning or approval in the period from June 2012 to this May.

ARCHIKA — Road I/42 Brno, VMO Dobrovského B, Brno justification: The Title of Building of the Year 2013 was awarded for the construction of an important part of the transport system of the city of Brno with regard to the unconventional solution of the Královopolský tunnel with two tunnel tubes.
Atelier Patrik Hoffman — Lipa Resort - Aparthotel Lipa, Krásná Lípa justification: The Title of Building of the Year 2013 was awarded for creating a unique set of buildings for accommodation in a touristically attractive location with respect to the city's formative function.
