Yesterday, an equestrian statue of Saint George was erected in the garden of Café Fara. It is part of the ongoing modifications to the local micro-area of the rectory, whose café opened exactly one year ago. It is located on the terrace of the garden's sally terreny at the center of the garden.

Its author, René Vlasák, carved it from limestone in connection with the surrounding limestone formations of Pálava. Pálava is an energetically charged magical place that has attracted settlement since the Paleolithic. Later findings of flints and fragments of bones were attributed to the remains of dragons. In the Middle Ages, when the Templars established the Orphan Castle here, they also brought with them the legend of Saint George - the dragon-slayer. Because the veneration of this saint took hold here, a church was subsequently dedicated to this saint. Today, Saint George as the dragon-slayer and vanquisher of evil is becoming relevant and popular again as a role model. Thus, a spiritual axis of church - statue now intersects the garden of the Jewelers' rectory.

On Saturday, April 24th, there will be a pilgrimage with a program starting at 10 a.m. and at 3:15 p.m. a ceremonial unveiling and blessing of the statue.
