Fire station and ambulance dispatch in Vilnius (L&G Projects, 2012)
Prague - Construction of a new headquarters for the medical rescue service in Troja will begin next year. The work is expected to last two years and will cost half a billion crowns. In an interview with ČTK today, councilor Martin Dlouhý (TOP 09) said. The previous city administration planned to complete the building by September this year. Currently, Prague rescuers do not have their own building and are located in a rented and allegedly unsuitable house on Korunní Street.
Before construction begins, Prague must purchase part of the land. At the request of the Prague-Troja municipality, the entire building will be moved several meters from the original plans. "We have thus responded to the requests of the affected city district," Dlouhý stated.
The new headquarters of the rescue service will be located at the intersection of Povltavská and Vodácká streets, in close proximity to the exit of the under-construction Blanka tunnel complex. According to previous information, the building will include a helipad, a dispatch center with 25 operator stations, a garage for the Golem rescue truck, a training center, hotel rooms for guests, a gym, a car service, a laundry, and a dining room. There are also plans for a pharmacy and a washing station that would also serve the public. The building will retain reserves for a possible increase in the number of rescuers in the future.
