The headquarters of ČSOB in Hradec will be according to the proposal of the studio Projektil

Hradec Králové - The regional headquarters of Československá obchodní banka in Hradec Králové will be created according to the design by the studio Projektil architekti. If everything goes smoothly, it could be completed in 2020. The building will house a client center, processing center, and other supporting business units of ČSOB. This was announced today by ČSOB spokesperson Pavla Hávová. Currently, ČSOB has its offices in Hradec at several locations.

The three-story building will rise in the attractive Aldis zone, where the congress center of the same name and the cadastral office buildings, as well as T-Mobile and Gist companies, are already located. Last October, ČSOB signed a contract with the city for the sale of 8128 square meters of land in the zone for 28.45 million crowns. According to earlier information from the city hall, the building could employ between 800 and 1000 people.

The ground floor will offer space for several shops in addition to a café and will house a regional branch for retail, corporate, and private clientele. "The actual construction will begin only after the documentation has been prepared and all necessary permits obtained, the optimistic completion date for the construction is set for 2020," Hávová stated.

According to her, the bank aims to build an architecturally timeless bank building in Hradec Králové that sensitively fits into the context of the city. The bank therefore approached seven architectural studios, with which it worked on various concepts. "We decided on the variant that best meets our requirements and also brings the necessary impulse for the revitalization of the area and the creation of an interesting public space," said ČSOB’s senior director and board member Petr Knapp.

The studio Projektil architekti has already designed the building of the Study and Scientific Library in Hradec Králové, which won the prestigious title of Building of the Year in 2009. The studio is also the author of other award-winning buildings, such as the National Technical Library in Prague and the Center for Ecological Activities in Hranice nad Moravou near Olomouc.
