Floating toilet on the Elbe by H3T Architects

The seemingly absurd and nonsensical object we prepared for random passersby by the Elbe River in Poděbrady.
The floating toilet in the river current has a single purpose - to embody the absurdity of general action with the quiet consent of the majority. We did not intend it to be a functional unit - although it is fully functional, of course - but as a reminder of the sad and well-known fact of the pollution of watercourses and reservoirs by human waste and sewage from households and operations of all kinds.
In this case, we also worked with material found in the vicinity or repurposed parts from our earlier projects.
We realized the project as part of the WOODOO SESSION 2011 - a workshop on spatial creation and Free Art.
