Petition against the intention of the leadership of the Ústí nad Labem Region to dismiss the directors of galleries and museums

The professional public is seriously concerned, or rather shocked, by the intention of the leadership of the Ústí nad Labem Region to unjustifiably dismiss five directors of galleries and museums located in the reports of the given region.
We believe that such a serious step should be preceded by thorough professional discussion and debate with a public outcome.
Among those dismissed is, among others, the director of the B. Rejta Gallery in Louny, A. Štefančíková, who is a completely unique example of lifelong self-sacrifice in the service of a public institution in our conditions (let us only mention the repeatedly awarded reconstruction of the baroque brewery building into an architecturally unique gallery /prof. E. Přikryl/, as well as the long-term purposeful exhibition, documentation, publishing, and exhibition activities of the GBR).
The public, let alone professionals, must have an undeniable right to express themselves regarding the happenings in public legal institutions, even more so as the uncivilized nature of these events raises serious concerns about the future and further fate of the affected public legal institutions.
