Pelhřimov - The construction of two outdoor swimming pools in Pelhřimov has been completed. During today's inspection, almost no deficiencies were found; both pools will begin to be filled next week, said Deputy Mayor Tomáš Dufek to ČTK. In a week, on June 1, there will be an Open Day at the site, and the swimming season is expected to start around June 15. The city received a state grant of 15 million crowns for the construction, with the remaining amount up to 32 million crowns being covered from its budget.

The semicircular pool has an area of 73 square meters, and the children's paddling pool is roughly half that size. Swimmers will enjoy two circular whirlpools, bubble beds, underwater massage jets, as well as surface and spot fountains. The swimming area also features a cave with a massage air bench, a water curtain, a water mushroom for children, a climbing net, and a slide.
Until now, the city only had an indoor pool. There have been long-term quality water issues in the surrounding ponds and reservoirs. The sports complex where the swimming pool was built includes football fields, a restaurant, a hotel, volleyball courts with clubhouses, halls, gaming rooms, and a skate park.
