Pardubice - The Pardubice Town Hall will simplify the operations of the building authority from April. One specific official will handle one application and will proceed only after obtaining the building permit. This should significantly shorten the entire process. The Deputy Mayor Martin Bílek (Association for Pardubice) told this to journalists today.
"This approach is highly welcomed by the professional public. If it goes as planned, the applications from the zoning decision to the issuance of the building permit should be significantly shortened," Bílek said.
Each building authority official will be assigned one cadastral area, which they should know in detail. Previously, it often happened that one official issued the zoning decision, while another took care of the building permit.
"It happened that one official shifted the blame onto another. Now the communication will be simple; the applicant will know who bears full responsibility and how their application is progressing," said Mayor Štěpánka Fraňková (Association for Pardubice).
The magistrate is changing the operation of the building authority at the big town hall. The building authorities in seven small town halls will remain. It will still occur that some applications will be handled by a small building authority and others by the magistrate's office, which means applicants will still need to travel to two locations.
"We are waiting for an analysis of the functioning of the city districts, which is to be completed by the end of March. Political parties had in their programs the centralization of state administration and possibly the abolition of city districts. This analysis should bring objective results," the mayor said.
The government is expected to address the centralization of building authorities, which means that for the catchment area of Pardubice, only one authority would serve, while building authorities in Dašice or Sezemice would be abolished.
"For me, it would then be incomprehensible to have one large building authority and seven tiny building authorities in the districts," the mayor said.
